I work with students and their families to make the most of their education. An education that is well suited to that individual student. Whether you need help with accommodations and services, or simply need help figuring out how to do college, I bring clarity to addressing your challenge. As a student, you need to: know yourself; know what matters to you; and know that you can and will be important to the world. You need people who care about sorting out your understanding of who you are; what matters to you and why; and what you can and will be capable of throughout life. You need to learn about your options, about how you can develop yourself to increase your options, and how you can focus to be the most powerful you that you can be. With your family & friends, I help you build your confidence in the truly important future that lies ahead for you. If you are a parent, you know how amazing your child can be, but you may be afraid that they might be hurt if they fail. You know that your child just needs a chance, and you do everything in your power to make it possible. But you also know that sometimes you make it too easy, and that other times you make it too hard (because you steer your child away from futures that you might not understand). You only want the best for your child, but you may need some help sorting out how you do need to help, as well when and how you do need to let go. I bring the information and experience that students and parents need to face the future with more confidence. I do that by first getting to know the student, so that I can really understand what they are about. I get to know the parents (and parent-like), to understand where parents need more knowledge, and where they need encouragement to let their child individually engage in the struggle to succeed. I use my inquisitiveness, my relationships, and my knowledge to help you understand the kinds of changes that are coming to the student's areas of interest, and to identify the education and experiences needed to equip the student to lead the world to and in the future. My promise to students: I help make your future and its importance obvious to you. I find the right educational institutions to get you there. And I teach you to speak and write about yourself so that any school that you want to attend can easily recognize that they really must find a way to include you in their freshman class.
