Valentine's Day Statistics

With Valentine's Day just around the corner, the Census Bureau pulls together some fun Valentine's Day - related facts for students.  

Statisitics give us some interesting ways to view the world.  Our government is a terrific resource for understanding our world, whether we are wanting to learn some fun facts, researching college programs, or researching interesting professions.  

Well-resourced, publicly available data is an important component of helping young people discern their educational priorities.  What topics engage their imaginations?  What tasks are invigorating for them to do?  With whom do they enjoy passing time?  The answers to these questions are the breadcrumbs that I follow to find interesting classes, develop appropriate learning plans, and create inspiring targets to help keep our students engaged and enjoying their learning journey.  As my students learn, discover challenges and master new ideas and skills, we reset their goals to keep them motivated to continue to progress toward their very own future.
